Dear Friends

The South African Council of Churches recently helped Anglican Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu to celebrate his 75th birthday on 7 October with a party and symposium at the University of South Africa. The Archbishop Emeritus, a former General Secretary of the SACC (1978-84), is admired at home and abroad as one of the heroes of South Africa's liberation struggle. He is a great leader and a role model to all.

The SACC would like to invite people to send birthday greetings to the Archbishop Emeritus. All messages will be forwarded to the Archbishop Emeritus and a selection will be posted on the SACC website.
